We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a proven track record in solar farm projects to join our dynamic team and drive the successful execution of our renewable energy initiatives.
The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of solar farm construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale solar projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery while adhering to budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of solar farm construction projects, from site preparation to commissioning.
- Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and on-site teams to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, local permitting requirements, and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to optimize project designs and resolve technical issues.
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, implementing OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment specific to solar farm construction (e.g., PV panels, inverters, racking systems).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years focused on solar farm or renewable energy projects.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale solar farm installations, including ground-mount systems.
- Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) technology and electrical infrastructure.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and budgeting software.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to solar energy and construction.
