Position Title: Mobile Heavy-Duty Mechanic
Location: Perth Metropolitan Area, WA

About the Role:
An established and fast-growing mobile service provider is seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join its Perth-based team. Specialising in OEM field support, this role is ideal for a technician with strong experience in Liebherr machinery who thrives in a dynamic, customer-facing environment. You’ll provide responsive, high-quality mechanical support to OEMs, dealerships, and operators across the metro area.
This is a mobile field-based role, offering flexible roster options (7/7, 10/4, or 5/2) to support your work-life balance.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, service, and repair Liebherr heavy mobile equipment in the field.
  • Deliver OEM-level support across a wide range of equipment types, including excavators, dozers, and loaders.
  • Use OEM diagnostic software and technical schematics to troubleshoot and resolve faults.
  • Provide reliable breakdown support and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with OEM partners, dealership teams, and site personnel.
  • Accurately complete all service documentation, parts orders, and digital job cards.
  • Maintain service vehicle condition, inventory, and tooling to a high standard.
  • Apply and adhere to all site safety standards, SWMS, and internal company policies.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Mobile Plant Technology.
  • Proven experience with Liebherr machines is highly regarded and essential.
  • Sound understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
  • Confident using diagnostic tools and interpreting OEM service information.
  • Ability to work autonomously in the field while maintaining high attention to detail and safety.
  • HR Driver’s Licence preferred (C Class minimum with willingness to upgrade).
  • Construction White Card; additional plant or High-Risk licences desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills and a proactive attitude.

  • 7 days on / 7 days off
  • 10 days on / 4 days off
  • 5 days on / 2 days off
All rosters are Perth metro-based — home every night.
