Assist with the establishment, improvement and maintenance of streetscape and horticultural landscapes

- Operate and maintain plant and equipment such as ride on mowers, whipper snippers, blowers, hedge trimmers and chainsaws.
- Maintain landscapes, turf areas, parks and streetscapes to a high standard.
- Ensure your work standards meet required specifications and tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Resolve on the job problems as they arise.

- Make a valued contribution to the team to assist in the achievement of common goals and tasks.
- Build positive relationships with team members and colleagues and is a team player.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and information.
- Identify any relevant operational problems and report directly to team leader.
- Provide on the job training and guidance to fellow employees when required.

 -Attends industry, Work Health and Safety (WHS) and corporate training as required.

Essential experience, capabilities and qualifications required to fulfil the role.

- Technical knowledge: Substantial experience in a horticultural maintenance role delivering quality and desirable service levels in the context of the position requirements.
- Possession of Certificate III or higher qualification in Horticulture, Arboriculture or equivalent.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively as a team member, exercising initiative and judgement whilst working with minimal supervision.
- Customer focus: Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of people with the aim of meeting customer needs, expectations and business goals.
- Achievement of outcomes: Proven ability to prioritise and monitor personal workload with minimal supervision to achieve agreed outcomes within specified timeframes.

Desirable role requirements

- Operator tickets for operating machinery such as Loader, Forklift and Chainsaw
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management
- Chemical Application and Spraying Certification, Prepare and Apply Chemicals AHCCHM303A
