About Client
Our client is Project management consultancy in O&G. Their clients are multi-national to mid-size companies in Australia. They are involved in traditional energy and renewable energy infrastructure.
 
The Position:
Our client is seeking a Junior Planning Engineer to join the team in Perth to assist in the scheduling of engineering projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create working engineering schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Carry out scenario planning for the various development options and coordinate with other departments
  • Develop Level 1 to 3 Schedules for both Engineering and Level 0 Construction schedules where required. 
  • Develop WBS, OBS and Resourcing used for Earned Value Calculations
  • Identify Long Lead Items and method of reporting them.
  • Analyse and optimize schedules based on resources availability.
  • Track Clients document review cycle. 
  • Contribute to analysis of the offshore, onshore and Gas Plan project executed by the client. 
  • Provide schedule information to enable alignment of activities across the Project..
  • Develop Schedule Reporting including Earned Value / S-Curves, CPM and advise on critical activities
  • Aid in support of Project Manager and decision making.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary education in engineering
  • Minimum 3 years as a Planning Engineer or similar
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 Planning systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Office products
