Cameron Chisholm & Nicol (CNN) in a joint venture with Melbourne based ARM has won the Department of Housing and Works (DHW) commission to design Perth's new Multi purpose Entertainment and Sports Stadium.

CCN and ARM, with US based RTKL as design consultant, was selected to design the new 14,000 seat stadium on a key site between the Perth CBD and the "downtown" Northbridge entertainment precinct. The Wellington Street site on which the stadium is to be built is State-owned land, located adjacent to the mothballed Perth Entertainment Centre complex. Construction of the new stadium, which will have an operable roof, is scheduled to commence later this year. The current completion date is early 2009.
